About Us

Jennifer anchors the front office and will help you with logistics, scheduling, estimates, and advice. She will probably be the first person you speak with when you call or come into the office. She has a strong art background, and uses her creative and organizational skills to help the office run smoothly on daily basis. 

She is our marketing specialist and is currently helping to upgrade our website. She has a calm and friendly disposition, and will help to guide patients and families through each step of the treatment process. She is committed to helping each person look and feel their best! 

Jennifer enjoys living in Colorado with her husband, where they can enjoy the beautiful outdoors. She also likes to cook a delicious meal or read a good book.

Robbin is our experienced esthetician, and is known for her warm and caring attitude. She is also our patient care coordinator. She has been with Dr. Duncan’s practice for 12 years, and has a wealth of experience and knowledge about all procedures. She does our complimentary consultations, and provides estimates of possible costs for patients.

Robbin , as our esthetician, performs chemical peels, skin care, Hydrafacials, post laser care, and postop makeup. She is always available for free skin care consultations, and is knowledgeable about our line of skin care products. She offers blue light and topical treatments for acne, brow waxing and tints, and many other treatments that enhance your overall appearance.

In her spare time, Robin enjoys the outdoors—hiking, camping, and fishing. 

Tara is one of the few people who has many duties, and is skilled at all of them. She helps Dr. Duncan with patients, paperwork, and surgery. Tara will take your photos, prep you for surgery, take out your stitches, and will call to see how you’re doing after your procedure.

Her compassion for patients is strong; she strives to make each patient and family member feel comfortable and well informed. Tara is known for going beyond expectations; she stays late and anticipates the needs of both patients and other staff members.

Tara’s long term goal is to become an RN. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping for shoes, and spending time with her daughter and family.

Deb is our full time nurse, and has been with Dr. Duncan for eleven years. She knows exactly what should be done in any given situation, and is skilled at making patients feel comfortable. She is Dr. Duncan’s first assistant in surgery.

Deb helps the traffic in the operating room flow smoothly. Her attention to detail is strong; she manages OR inventory and keeps the AAAASF certification of our ORs up to date. Deb is ACLS certified.

In her spare time, Deb enjoys bowling and spending time with her neighbors and family.

Kathy has been a part of the team at Plastic Surgical Associates since November of 2001. She has the most experience of all our nurses and began her nurses training in the Fall of 1950. Kathy remembers working during the worst of the polio area and also during a time where nothing was ever thrown away, “How different things were then!” Kathy says.

Kathy graduated in the Spring of 1953 and chose the operating room as her choice of work.

In her spare time Kathy enjoys to read, cuddle with her kitty and spend time with her family. She has been married to her “cowboy” husband for 55 years!

Dr. Gillespie is the Medical Director for Plastic Surgical Associates. Dr. Gillespie is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist. She is the past president of the Colorado Society of Anesthesiologists. She continues to serve on their Board as well the United Health Care physician council and the Colorado Medical Society Congress. She has served the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) for the past 15 years as a member of the Committee on Economics and as a delegate from the state of Colorado. She is also the owner and President of CPS Healthcare Solutions, LLC (CPS), a medical billing service and practice management company. CPS is the practice management company of the Northern Colorado Individual Practice Association (NCIPA).

Besides her interest in medicine and the business of medicine, Dr. Gillespie and her husband, Robert Wagner, own and manage a biotech company, Gene Check, which does genetic -testing for animals and basic research in mutation detection. They live in Northern Colorado on a cattle and sheep ranch and train and trial border collies.

Dr. Mary Maxwell is board certified through the American Board of Anesthesiology and has been in practice since 1986. In addition to her work at Plastic Surgical Associates of Ft. Collins she also provides inpatient anesthesia care at a Wyoming hospital. Providing safe anesthesia with a smooth postoperative course is her goal to which she strives.

Dr. Maxwell also tries to consider any special circumstances of each individual patient in planning the anesthetic care for that patient. Having been a patient herself in recent years has heightened her empathy for other patients, and she is eager to tailor the anesthetic to the patient.

Dr. Maxwell lives with her husband and daughter on a family farm north of Denver where they raise Angus beef cattle, hogs, and hay. In her spare time Dr. Maxwell enjoys playing the piano and flute and performs whenever she can arrange to do so.
