Correction of Breast Implant Problems
Previous Breast Implants—Ruptured, Leaking, or Unattractive
Many women think that once they have implants put in, they are "stuck" with a certain look or size. Many gain weight with age, and the original implants are no longer appropriate. Some women had silicone implants put in many years ago, assuming they would last a lifetime. They won't; most implants have an 8 to 10 year lifespan. Signs of leaking or ruptured silicone implants include extreme firmness, pain in the breast region, upward migration of the implant, or a sudden change in the appearance of the breast. Overtime Saline implants can ripple or begin to bottom out and many women want to replace them with Memory Gel Implants. A leaking saline implant may suddenly go flat, or may deflate over a period of 2–3 days. Sometimes the implants have never looked good, or the size is not quite right.
