1. Improve urinary incontinence issues
  2. Strengthens the deep core
  3. Quick, easy and non-invasive option

Emsella is a non-invasive, FDA-approved modality that is cleared for the treatment of incontinence in men and women. Emsella uses electromagnetic energy to cause deep pelvic floor muscle stimulation creating thousands of Kegel-like contractions allowing the muscles to “train” without any effort on your end. This treatment is simple, you don’t even need to get undressed, just sit in the chair and the machine will do the rest!

“I finished the Emsella treatment about a month ago and have definitely noticed an improvement! I am one who while working or doing a project would wait too long and would have to run to the bathroom, usually a little too late! I always kept an extra pair of underwear at the office. After finishing the treatment, I have not had any problem making it to the bathroom in time…I still wait to finish what I’m doing, but I have much better bladder control!”

“My experience with the treatments has been amazing! I have noticed my pants are fitting better and I am starting to get some definition in my abs, but the biggest difference I have noticed has been in my workouts. I cannot believe how much stronger my core is. My metrics for every single core exercise are way up. I highly recommend Dr Duncan and her team. They are the best!”

Patients have reported a significant increase in sexual function and wellness in both men and women. ED (erectile dysfunction) treatment has become a widespread off-label use of Emsella. The device uses electromagnetic stimulation (HIFEM) to activate the pelvic floor. Weakened pelvic floor muscles contribute to the cause of ED and a decline in sexual wellness. Emsella helps to restore and rehabilitate the deep core for increased muscular control which in turn facilitates improved erectile function. This treatment has also been reported to be especially effective in those following prostate surgery!

Improve your quality of life!

The non-invasive HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology induces supramaximal muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions. Naturally as the body ages physical health declines as the ability to stay in shape declines. Improvement of core strength and pelvic floor with the use of Emsella can provide the jump start needed!

What can I expect at my appointments?

At a consultation we will discuss your primary goals of treatment and establish our best recommendation of treatment for you. We will take photos in order to be able to share a discussion about any aesthetic goals and provide you with a quote for the courses of treatment recommended! From there, you choose your desired course of recommended treatment and we can get you scheduled! Since this treatment is so quick and easy scheduling tends to be much easier than with our more invasive procedures.

At your treatment appointments you will need to wear comfortable, metal free clothing.  Bringing a book for reading is always a good idea too!  You will be sitting on a chair that sends HIFEM pulses through your pelvic floor, which replicates performing Kegel exercises.

At your follow-up appointments we will again take photos (even if aesthetic outcome wasn’t your primary goal) and review progress. Should you wish to pursue further treatments that can also be discussed!

How do I know if I am a good candidate?

Emsella candidates are looking to strengthen the pelvic floor to add to one’s overall health! Added benefits: urinary incontinence improvement, ED improvement and increased core strength and stability.

Candidate exclusions include BMI’s over 40, metallic implants near the treatment site, pacemakers, and open wounds. For a more complete list of possible exclusions, please contact our office!

While we don’t treat minors with Emsella, we don’t really have an upper limit age cutoff!

When will I see the results?

Some patients note an improvement in their symptoms and overall quality of life as early as during the course of treatment (usually by the third or fourth treatment). However, this widely varies depending upon the severity of your symptoms, body awareness, and expectations. Many patients truly notice a marked changed between the end of treatment to one month later. This timeline also can change between treatment sessions in our patients that choose to do more than one course of treatment!

Note that Emsella’s prime directive is not aesthetic enhancement – when combined with a modality like NEO or Emtone, aesthetic results are seen!

How many treatments will I need?

Initially plan on 6 but follow up or ‘maintenance’ treatments may be needed or desired to keep up on results!

What does it feel like?

Most of our patients initially describe it an ‘just weird’, or ‘like sitting on a base speaker set at full volume!’.
