Scarless Breast Lift Surgery in Denver & Fort Collins

Dr. Duncan invented and trademarked this scarless approach for breast lifting, with nine years of experience and over 350 cases. Instead of cutting out excess skin, she shrinks the soft tissue and overlying skin using radiofrequency energy. Because the skin can only shrink 33% in an aesthetic manner, only small to medium patients will get the best outcome. This innovative technique achieves natural, beautiful results with minimal downtime, making it an excellent option for women seeking a youthful, lifted appearance. Serving Northern Colorado, including Denver, Loveland, Windsor, and Greeley, Dr. Duncan provides personalized care to help women feel more confident, comfortable, and ready to enjoy an active lifestyle.

The Story Behind PerkyLift

“I’d like a breast lift, but I don’t want the scars.” Dr. Duncan notes that a large number of her patients shared this comment. Traditional methods of breast lift do leave scars, and in general, the more scars, the more effective the lift. As an expert in energy-based device research and development, Dr. Duncan has composed minimally invasive lifting and skin tightening procedures for multiple face and body regions.

In 2009, she had a patient who wanted a breast augmentation, but really needed a lift as well. “I was concerned that with implant placement only, the patient would still have significant sagging. I was taught that in these cases, occasionally a larger implant can fill the skin envelope, but this patient did not want giant breasts.”

The Solution

By applying a radiofrequency treatment to the sagging soft tissue of the breast with subpectoral implants, Dr. Duncan was able to get a remarkable lift with no additional scars. The difference between the PerkyLift and standard surgery is that no skin is excised. Patients in Denver and Fort Collins often choose the PerkyLift for its ability to lift the breasts without additional incisions or visible scarring.

PerkyLift™ Real Patient Story

This 62-year-old patient had grade III ptosis and was a marginal candidate for a PerkyLift. Using new technology and an updated technique, we were able to give her not only a significant lift but a dramatic improvement in shape that resembled implant placement. The ability to not only lift, but reshape breasts offers women a new alternative to implants following childbirth, weight loss, or general aging.

PerkyLift Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve never heard of this procedure. How does it work?

Dr. Duncan teaches this procedure globally. She made a video in Barcelona, please watch the full video here. As we age, our soft tissue and skin lose their collagen framework. By gently heating the tissue with a radiofrequency cannula at multiple depths, ingrowth of a new collagen framework is induced. It takes time, about 3-6 months, for the majority of the correction to occur.

What types of problems can this procedure help with?

  • Address mild sagging (ptosis): A radiofrequency-assisted PerkyLift offers a scarless solution to improve simple breast sagging by tightening and lifting the natural tissue.
  • Enhance breast augmentation results: When combined with an augmentation, a PerkyLift can provide the subtle lift needed for patients with mild to moderate laxity, creating a more balanced, youthful shape.
  • Refine secondary procedures: For patients undergoing implant revision, pairing a PerkyLift with smaller implants allows the skin envelope to contract instead of sagging, often leading to a more refined and natural outcome.

I understand that success with this procedure depends on the patient’s participation. What can I do to optimize my results?

  • Support healing tissue: Tension or pulling at the surgical site can interfere with healthy collagen production, which is essential for optimal skin tightening.
  • Commit to proper support: Wearing a supportive bra after the procedure is key to maintaining the right environment for skin to contract and heal effectively. Follow recovery guidelines: Most patients can return to work and light activities quickly, but a minimum of three months of dedicated support is recommended. During this time, avoid extreme range of motion, high-impact exercise, and going without a bra to protect your results.

I know that results with this procedure can be limited. What are some good guidelines to help me choose between a traditional surgical mastopexy and a PerkyLift?

Good candidates for surgery include patients who need a mild to moderate correction and those who would be satisfied with less than full surgical correction. For those needing moderate to severe correction or who will only settle for full ptosis correction, a full anchor mastopexy is indicated. If the sternal notch to nipple distance is greater than 25 cm, you may need to have skin removed. Scarless breast lifts in Fort Collins work well if the level of correction needed is mild to moderate, or if the patient is willing to accept moderate improvement in exchange for a lack of permanent scars.
